Terms of use

Last updated: 6 August 2026
Applies to: the Sometic documentation website at sometic.aitistack.com (the “Site”) and your use of publicly distributed Sometic packages.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a professional baseline for a free, open-source documentation Site. They are not a substitute for the MIT license that governs the software packages, and they are not legal advice.

By accessing the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. What Sometic provides

Sometic is an open-source TypeScript portable application behavior system published under the @sometic npm scope. The Site explains how to install and use those packages. Documentation is free to read. There is no paid paywall for documentation access.

2. Software license

Use, copying, modification, and redistribution of Sometic software packages are governed by the MIT License (and any additional notices shipped with a specific package). These Terms do not replace that license.

3. Acceptable use of the Site

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Site or its hosting infrastructure
  • Scrape the Site in a way that degrades service for others (reasonable automated access for indexing tools that respect robots.txt is fine)
  • Misrepresent affiliation with Sometic or AitiStack
  • Use the Site to distribute malware or unlawful content
  • Probe or attack systems beyond authorized security research described in Security

4. Beta software and documentation accuracy

Sometic packages and docs are offered on a beta maturity track unless a page states otherwise. APIs, behavior, and docs may change. We work to keep documentation accurate, but the Site may contain errors or omissions. Always verify against the published package version you install.

5. No warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE AND THE SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AITISTACK AND CONTRIBUTORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THE SOFTWARE—EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid us for the Site in the prior 12 months (typically zero, because the Site is free) or (b) the minimum amount required by applicable law.

7. Your applications

You are solely responsible for applications you build with Sometic packages, including accessibility, security, compliance, and privacy obligations to your users.

8. Trademarks and branding

“Sometic”, “AitiStack”, and related logos are brand assets. You may refer to Sometic factually (for example “built with Sometic”). Do not imply endorsement or use logos in a misleading way without permission.

9. Third-party content

The Site may link to third-party resources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or policies.

10. Contributions

If you contribute to Sometic repositories, you agree that contributions are provided under the project’s inbound contribution terms (typically the same MIT license, unless a contributor agreement states otherwise) and that you have the rights to submit them.

11. Privacy

Site-related privacy practices are described in the Privacy policy.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms: use Issues or Discussions on the Sometic packages repository under github.com/aitistack.
